Baking Soda Beautiful.
I have used baking soda by Arm & Hammer for years now. My favorite recipe for a beautiful glowing complexion is baking soda and fresh squeezed lemon juice. Mix the baking soda and about 3 tablespoons of lemon juice together and apply to the face, and lips gently rub in a circular motions, let it sit for a couple of minutes, and be sure to rub gently because it is an abrasive and with the lemon juice it may tingle or have a burning sensation. Baking Soda by Arm & Hammer and lemon juice helps to clear and brighten skin.
Just using baking soda and water will help remove dead skin cell build up also. Make it into a paste and rub gently on the face to get a fresh clean just washed look. Rinse well. You could also use it without water and lightly dust it over the skin in a circular motion. It exfoliates this way too. Once again, rinse well.
When I use the lemon paste I like to apply it to my lips and let it sit for a couple of minutes then rub gently and rinse. It brightens and exfoliates the lips. It is also good for your hands. Wet baking soda and apply to hands just like you would soap, and rub very well all over the hands as if you were washing them with soap, and rinse. Do often and this makes the hands appear younger.
I have also used it for my feet when I wanted to get ready for summer sandals. While in the bathtub you can use baking soda on your legs, and arms. It is an all around exfoliate. But please remember it is still abrasive, so take it easy, without damaging the skin. Oh, and last but not least it is a great breath freshener. Brush your teeth and tongue with baking soda, rinse well and you will see that your mouth will be fresh and clean. Arm & Hammer Baking Soda, who knew?
